About Us

Our staff at The Greenleaf Center comes with a variety of clinical experience and skills.  Our aim is also to provide a multifaceted group of clinicians, sensitive to the needs of our community and able to provide caring and culturally attuned services our clients.  Our staff is also fully bilingual (Spanish/English), while our clinical staff is fluent in Spanish and Polish as well.


Jorge Garcia, Ph.D.

Dr. Garcia has over 14 years of experience practicing in a variety of clinical settings, including both inpatient and outpatient settings, working with children, adolescents, and adults.   He received his undergraduate education from the University of Southern California and obtained his doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis on ethnic minority mental health, from the California School of Professional Psychology.

He has also worked in a variety of settings, including St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, California, where he served as a staff psychologist and clinical supervisor, providing in-service training and supervision of doctoral level graduate students.  For several years, he also served as a Behavior Specialist and Clinical Director of mental health services at Leeway School (Aspen Youth Services), a non-public school serving troubled adolescent youth in Alhambra, California.

Dr. Garcia is also an admitted member of the American Psychological Association since 1997 and an Associate member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapist.  Dr. Garcia is also frequently called upon to testify as an expert court witness.

 

Anna Maria Kumor, MFT

Ana received her educational training from the California Graduate Institute and offers her clients a strong and varied clinical background.  Her range of experiences include working in a University-based counseling center, to substance abuse recovery centers, hospital settings, residential settings, and outpatient clinical settings.  

Anna also has experience working with children and youth in residential settings such as The Sycamores where she worked as a clinician in helping both children and their families.  At the California State University at Long Beach, Anna worked closely with young adults in the Disabled Student Services.  She also served as an Assistance Director and clinician at the Coastal Family Therapy Services in Newport Beach, California.

Additionally, Anna brings the added expertise of being a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, after received specialized training at CSU Dominguez Hills.    She also worked as a clinician and group facilitator in the Flossie Lewis Recovery Center.

Anna is also fluent in Polish, is licensed under the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, and a member of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society.
